Safe Space: Share Experiences with Bad Actors in Powerful Positions

Have you ever had an encounter with a corrupt or just outright rude law enforcement official, judge, elected county official, school officals, etc? Are you looking for a safe space to share your experience and connect with others who have been through similar situations? Look no further, as this political site is here to provide you with a platform to do just that, right here in Hart County, KY!

We understand the importance of creating a safe and anonymous space for individuals to share their stories. We prioritize your safety by allowing you to submit your experiences anonymously, and we ensure that all comments are approved before being posted. Our main goal is to provide a supportive community where individuals can share their negative, or even outright enrageous experiences with without fear of judgment or retaliation.

Sharing your story can be a powerful and cathartic experience. By opening up about your experience, you not only raise awareness about potential corruption and abuses of power in law enforcement, but also connect with others who have been through similar situations. Your story has the potential to spark change and inspire others to speak up against those that abuse their positions for their own desires. This site is created and maintained by Wesley Collins, Owner, KY Whitetail Land Co.  I have been bullied by Jeff Wilson and associates for years, when all I do is bend over backwards to help good people anytime I can.  This led to a federal lawsuit I filed some years ago due to the obvious selectively applied law (or lack thereof) here in Hart County.  I am a high functioning Autistic person (Aspergers, Similar to Elon, more like "The Accountant" movie personally).  I was a registered Engineer in two disciplines in multiple states, with several designs/patents/books etc, an Engineering Manager, and very successful.  That is not a good combination in Hart County.  Many here don't care one bit what the law says.  I think it's time we show them that people and law matter, not their ego, and they work for us.  Tell us what they've done to you or your family now!  Email SaveHartKY@gmail.com

​​​I come across people all the time talking about what these protected positions of power have done to them or their families!  And often help them myself since we have no law enforcement here in Hart Co, unless you're part of the "club".  We will share your story here anonymously unless you want your name displayed, so you can be heard!​​

This is not an anti-law enforcement site.  Most are good people.  It is an anti-bullying and equal protection under the law site as defined by the Fourtenth Amendment of our constitution.   "nor shall any State ... deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."

Have a positive story about someone that went above and beyond?  (Not helping change a tire for optics, truly caring and a good person)  Send those in as well, we love to hear about the good ones!

Lawyers, being "Officers of the Court" are fair game also!  Tell us what they've done to you, so we can identify what needs to be changed and make it so we can feel safe living in this county again.  Let's take back Hart County!

Adding 3/17/2025:  If you'll notice, every story on here is about them not just leaving good honest people alone, helping their buddies or ignoring the law like they're untouchable.  It was always started by this "good ole boys" club of the corrupt sheriff, judges, or county attorney.  The people didn't ask for any of this to happen and have just had to deal with it for years.   I'm the only one going back after them, for you, and thanks for your support!  Deep thoughts :) -Wesley, The Accountant

Justin Baird refuses to comply with discovery in my case also, and the crooked sheriff's dept. says I "waived my miranda rights", when they made up BS charges of child neglect to try to shut me up for voicing my concerns about the school system.  My lawywer is about to take it federal also, this county is going to get cleaned up one way or another!

A deputy asked me to come in for questioning for closing one of my gates in the middle of my farm.  What planet are we on here?

Some maniacs blocked my driveway with a vehicle and refused to move it.  The Sheriff's dept refused to help and didn't even go to talk to them.  They later encouraged the criminals repeatedly.  Then these people went and blocked two other deeded roads since the Sheriff's Dept was protecting them.  Meanwhile the legal owners have no recourse.  Criminals are protected but if you try to defend your own property, look out in Hart County.  Your deeds and titles mean nothing here.   Only who Jeff Wilson or his buddies like.

They told me making a new trail on my own farm was likely criminal, in front of my employees.

I was doing some tractor work at home, and one deputy asked me to come in for questioning for no known reason.  They use this trick to try to twist your words or set you up if they don't like you, or they aren't being paid off, who knows why.  Don't ever fall for this trick or go in unless ordered by a Judge.  They are up to no good in Hart County.  If they actually had a question or needed help, they will drive to you and shake your hand, or should, like a man.

Jeff Wilson just has a chip on his shoulder all the time, constantly ready to pounce on anyone he thinks has any sort of power to show what a big man he is.  Being nice does not help, he is just a Bully with a badge and not speaking out makes it worse for everyone.

Elaine Digges, who is or was on the Hart Co Board for our monopoly county trash service, was found liable by a jury for trespassing after blocking several roadways and destroying a neighbor's gate multiple times.  Why is it that it cost a full $26 for a second can, so all of Hart County has to burn anything they can due to the insane costs?  Where is this money actually going?  Why does emptying a second trash can cost just as much when you don't have to make an extra trip, and no other company around does this?  Why aren't private companies allowed here, and Hart Co has a monopoly on this service?  And why does our local justice system protect these people, so it requires a jury for any sort of justice?​  It seems like someone honest would look into this.

"When I first moved here, as a manager at a local store, I met Jeff Wilson.  Hold told me, "Well, there's the law, and then there's what's right."  As if he just gets to choose what he thinks is right or wrong with no regard for the law!  I knew right then this guy was trouble and he thought that he was all that mattered and runs this town.  That's not law enforcement, it's being threatening that you better do whatever he says."

I was threatened by a man coming to my farm/house on a Sunday Morning, getting ready for church, and he was trying to run over my dogs all over my fields.  Then he came to the house to mouth off about something.   I hadn't seen this man in years.  The sheriff Jeff Wilson tried to help the lunatic that did it.  I will send the video in shortly.​  Later, this same man was seen standing on the road near the property in a threatening manner and for no other reason for being there, after he knew he can get away with anything with no law.​​​

Judge Joe Ballard will find a contract valid and binding, and then change all of its terms so that only one party, which he doesn't like, has to comply with the terms while his buddies don't have to comply with anything, as if he has that power.  He has no regard for law at all.  Contracts and deeds aren't made for only one party to have to comply, but law doesn't matter to this judge.  I've seen him do this at least 3 times.  I hope your site takes that smirk off his corrupt face.

​Once, an elderly man I had never met came to me nearly in tears for help because someone had scammed him and taken his car and title, and the Sheriff's Department and County Attorney wouldn't help.  You need to pay an attorney $3k and spend years if you want to get your $3k car back, so that they can fill their pockets.  He had heard who I was and that I help people.  I had his car and keys back within 6 hours, and the county clerk made sure he wasn't charged taxes twice, so shout out to them.  Truly pathetic though.  I'm surprised they didn't try to blame something on me for helping him. -W. My autistic son has been bullied by the Sheriff's Dept and the school system for years.  He is in tears often because they make fun of him instead of trying to help him.  They even filed false charges against me to try to make me go away for voicing my concerns.

My child was taken into hiding in dangerous places by my wife (at the time) who was having mental problems and didn't want others to see what she was doing.  The school, including Christina Boone who had a personal relationship with the mother, and Jeff Wilson would not let the father and Grandmother even see the child to check on his safety.  There is nothing more scary than having your child disappear and the Sheriff helps with it just because you're autistic and don't make eye contact or talk the way "he thinks" is normal.  I know people would say there's more to the story, but there isn't, it actually happened.

Judge Joe Ballard granted a D.V.O. against me, a loving father who never threatened anyone ever, against a person who had abused me and my child for decades, while the child was being hidden from his family by the disturbed mother.   This was done despite the family testifying how she abused us for decades and there being no threats of any kind, because she "didn't like being questioned on the stand in court".  While she had no witnesses and wouldn't even bring my son to court for people to see whether he was ok.  Facts and law don't matter here in Hart County!  You can't make this stuff up!

Kayla Rountree, the court clerk, is such a sweetheart.  One day, I was dealing with a lot, and I hadn't eaten in a few days or so, and my hand got shaky.  She personally came up and helped me fill out my check since I couldn't hardly even write.  A genuine good person.  So is Stacy Richardson and April at the County Clerk's office.  So glad we got helpful people in there now!

If you have a real problem, even when the others admit they're violating the law, Justin Baird will tell you that's a civil matter, so you must pay thousands if you want protection or help under the law in Hart County. 

​

One Judge here in Hart County will not follow the law, and let a completely meritless case with no evidence drag on for years just to harass someone they don't like.  He may act nice while he's bullying you, but watch his actions.  He will make smart comments like "I think I know what we're dealing with here" letting the one side know he is biased so they can do whatever they want.  He ignores the law, deprives citizens of titled property for years, and then will make up jury instructions not even close to what the law says to try to get the outcome he wants against his victim.  There is no equal protection under the law here.

Judge Ballard wanted to assign a "Friend of the Court" related to a custody hearing.  I had an assistant find someone with no involvement with either party whatsoever and who had a child with needs which would be helpful to understand in the situation.  However, Judge Ballard wanted to hire his friend from Nelson County to get the desired biased result and get his friends paid.  -W. I was arrested and charged with a Felony for car theft.  My neighbor let me borrow his truck, but a relative on bad terms said it was stolen.  I had driven up to speak with the deputy and show him some court paperwork that I had rights to be on the farm.  Would someone do that in a stolen truck?!  The deputy would not stop to let us show him the paperwork that it is not stolen on the way to jail, and I was stuck in jail for weeks.   

Judge Ballard is now trying to take a closed case, and call me back to court to try to take my land again and give it to his buddies, with no right to a jury trial since the case was closed months ago, and then you couldn't even appeal it since all appeals period has passed.  And acts like we are supposed to just go along with it because he said so, he's the judge....

I was in the middle of a private meeting at the court house, and Jeff Wilson appeared out of nowhere with a threatening walk, tossed his coat on the chair, and just kinda hovered there.  I asked kindly, can I help you with anything?  He storms back with Rage, "I DON'T KNOW, CAN I HELP YOU WITH SOMETHING!?".  It isn't the first time.  Be careful if you go in that place and see him.  Most of them are nice though.  This guy has no emotional control, and there's just no explanation, other than the obvious.

 

I am a local business owner.  The sheriff and some deputies constantly target me.  I don't understand why, but if they see me or any of my company vehicles, they are out to get us for whatever they can make up that day.​​​​

"I,xxxx, a resident of Hart county . Who is not kin to Mr. Collins in any way, have been mistreated & bullied myself by Hart county school’s & the Sheriff & The County Attorney, as well as others who hold a position of Authority in this county.  After my (autistic) son was extremely bullied at HCHS , I requested to see the video footage in its entirety & was refused to view it in its entirety. I was also put through a run around when I went to the sheriff, Jeff Wilson, I was sent to KSP.   I was told by KSP that this was a Hart County Sheriff issue & to go back to him. 

​

So as a parent I did just that. I was then told by the sheriff that KSP had an investigation. Which was never true . So after the back & forth for months, I said to the sheriff after he approached me at a school Board meeting, he wanted to talk to me, I told him I would talk to him after the meeting, because I was speaking at the meeting. So after I spoke I went to talk to the Hart County Sheriff.  I myself asked him to please sit down with me & watch the video’s of my son being bullied & he told me that he couldn’t do an investigation & or pull videos from the school

 

Then he brought up something that I put on Facebook. He said that I called him out on social media . He seemed agitated & then told me to meet him on 11/22/24 at 1pm & the run around would be put to a End on his part . He then on 11/22/24 around 11:00 am WITHOUT my permission pulled my Autistic son who is a minor out of class at HCHS with a CPS worker & He sat in the room & let this CPS worker interrogate my mentally disabled child.  Again without my Consent. I was never made aware of this until after 1:00 pm that same day. 

 

I went to meet with the sheriff after 1 pm to watch the video’s of my son being bullied. But instead I was read my Miranda rights & interrogated myself . I was treated like I was doing something wrong . The CPS worker as well as the sheriff said that my son never acted like he even had autism at all!  I never got to see the video’s & I was asked very private questions & I was even asked to sign a paper for the sheriff so that he could give the information to the school. I refused to sign that paper.

I also realized after being there for awhile that this sheriff had taken this personally. As did the county attorney. I went to them for help & they didn’t help me at all! They made this personal, asking me my work history & other personal things . I requested a copy of my Miranda rights there was 5 rights on that document & then a place to print & a place to sign & then the date . I did not receive a copy of that document until 12/10/24 when I was served a criminal complaint from the sheriff.  It then had added to it on that paper the I waived my Miranda rights. & let me tell you, as someone that has been fighting so hard to protect not only my rights but my autistic child’s rights, I would NEVER waive them . So this is just a tiny bit of what I as well as my son has been through. This is most definitely Abuse of Authority."
